Common big-leafed variety. Has large, juicy, green, slightly crumpled leaves of strong, rich taste and small white flowers. This is a vigorous branchy plant about 50 cm tall. It's the outstandingly most cultivated basil. A portion contains about 250 seeds.

Cultivation advice

Sowing

Sow very shallowly indoors 6 weeks before setting out at 25 cm of mutual distance when the risk of frost is over and the soil has warmed up.

Spacing

Keep 25 cm between plants and 30 cm between rows. 

Harvest

Harvest through the season, either leaf by leaf of by cutting down the entire plant one or a few times throughout the season.
