Round Seeded Pea
The most cold-resistant species, which can be sown as soon as the frost has left the soil and it has dried up a bit. It provides the earliest harvest of all peas, with green, round and tasty shelling peas, but they lack the sweetness that the Wrinkled Pea has. The Round Seeded Pea can also be allowed to grow further, and at full maturity produces dry, hard, green peas for winter storage and green pea soup.
