Information

Allium tuberosum has several variants and is very common in Asia. This is a perennial and is sown directly in tufts or rows or pre-cultivated. This plant has long, dark-green, flat leaves of mild garlic flavour. It grows quite slowly the first year and should be covered during winter for safe wintering. A portion contains about 200 seeds.

Sow in groups or in a row in well-nourished soil without weeds. Divide or sow again after 3-4 years.

Harvest sparingly the first year! The whole plant should be cut down now and then to prevent its growing too coarse. Harvest through the whole season.
