"O.americanum" is an unusual basil from America with a distinct spicy aroma of lime. It is especially suitable for fish and salads. The plant grows 50-60 cm tall with medium small dark-green leaves and a fresh delicious taste. A portion contains about 200 seeds.

Cultivation advice

Sowing

Sow very shallowly indoors 6 weeks before setting out at 25 cm of mutual distance when the risk of frost is over and the soil has warmed up.

Spacing

Keep 25 cm between plants and 30 cm between rows.

Harvest through the season, either leaf by leaf of by cutting down the entire plant one or a few times throughout the season.
