Organic seaweed nutrition

Information

Organic plant nutrition from seaweed - from the Swedish west coast

Seaweed has been used in agriculture for millennia and is an excellent biological fertilizer. This plant nutrition from Warbergs Tångbruk is made from brown algae from the North Sea. It mainly consists of seaweed that blows up on rocks and beaches and is then picked and desalinated.

Seaweed contains large amounts of macro- and micronutrients that plants need, including nitrogen, phosphorus, iodine and magnesium. It is also rich in antioxidants, amino acids and plant hormones. This composition is beneficial to the plants in a number of ways, for example by stimulating cell division, growth, root formation and seed formation; makes the plant more resistant to fungal diseases, insect attacks and weather changes, and is good for the micro-life in the soil.

How to use the plant nutrition:
Mix one teaspoon (5 ml) of plant nutrient per liter of water. During spring and summer, it is usually enough to water the nutrient once a week; during autumn and winter once a month is enough.

Warbergs Tångbruk is a small family business based on Getterön outside Varberg. The company's basic idea is to extract and deliver environmentally defensible products from and out of the marine environment around us.
