Information
Very beautiful, approximately 60-80 cm tall plant with light pink-purple to white flowers. It emits a strong scent of lemon. Actually, lemon mint is a perennial plant, but is poorly winter-hardy in our open field in zone 3. Light, well drained soil and winter cover increase the chance of overwintering. The tea mint originally comes from North America, where it has long been used as a spice and medicinal plant. The leaves are good in salads, in jams and jellies, for teas and potpourri, fresh or dried. Much appreciated by pollinators. The seeds are sown
shallow indoors in April and planted out after the risk of frost with a distance of 35-40 cm.
A portion contains about 40 seeds.
