Information
Sahara attracted a lot of attention when it appeared on the market 12 years ago. A completely new color scale for cut flowers with sturdy stems and a long harvest period. The flowers, which are fully or partially filled, vary between pink, warm red, light yellow and copper brown. Perfect cut flower both with its richness of color, length and long vase life. Each plant produces a lot of flowers and 'Sahara' is also really hardy and often overwinters in zone 3. The flowering lasts a long time, from July until well into autumn. Varies a lot in height, ranging from 50-80 cm but several stems sometimes become even higher. Continuously pick off wilted flowers to prolong the flowering, unless you want to take your own seeds of course!
NOTE! The seeds are grown responsibly without pesticides and artificial fertilizers and in a cultivation that is in transition to become organically certified. Conversion to an organically certified cultivation takes 2 years and seeds harvested during that time are classified as "conventional" in year 1 and "under conversion" in year 2.
One portion is about 100 seeds.
