Red Cabbage
Brassica oleracea var. capitata rubraThe red cabbage has been around for as long as its closest relative the white cabbage. They are also the same in cultivation and use. The growth time for red cabbage is about the same as that of autumn white cabbage, but as it doesn"™t grow quite so large one can diminish their mutual space. The red cabbage isn"™t as fast as the white cabbage to begin with but becomes firmly knit in autumn and has excellent keeping qualities then.
