CULTIVATION OF LEEK SEEDS
The leek blooms during the second year after sowing and is hardy enough to remain in its plot during winter, possibly protected by some cover materials. Thin out plants that are untypical of the sort or less vigorous and eat them.
The leek needs even longer time than yellow onions to make good ripe seeds. Autumn weather is decisive for the quality of the seeds.
