Yellowstone, organic seeds
Daucus carota ssp. sativus
A smooth and evenly conical, yellow autumn carrot with fairly broad shoulders and a heavy foliage, despite a relatively small leaf base. The root is long, around 19 cm and has a very good, crunchy flesh. Yellowstone contains xanthophyll, which is a powerful antioxidant, instead of carotene. The roots, which are excellent for storing, should be banked up to avoid green shoulders. A portion contains about 400 seeds.
