Days to Maturity

The number of days stated behind the name of each sort is the time the plant, takes to reach maturity in a plot (after sowing or setting out) under optimal conditions. Perfect weather during the whole season is, however, a rarity. The number of days merely shows the different earliness of the sorts and not the exact harvest time.
We have grown and compared almost all the varieties for several years, both in north and south. Since 1976 we have every year test cultivated new and old varieties and selected a range to suit our climate and way of growing vegetables and flowers. We sometimes also get help with this evaluation of unknown varieties by several friends and clients, who grow organically in other climatic zones.

Test Seeds

To further improve the selection, we distribute free test seeds of many interesting, unknown and perhaps propagation worthy varieties to those of you who want to try something new. Write on the order in the "Other information" field if you want test seeds of a cabbage, beans, root vegetables, lettuce, etc. If we have adequate seed, we will send it and hope we get to hear your comments on the variety. Good and bad. Thus we can help each other to find the best varieties for our climate.
