Is a different, old, Italian Beet of light-red peel and white flesh with rose-red rings. The root is round with sweet flesh, its foliage is vigorously green with stems and veins in rose-red. Chioggia is most decorative if cut up in slices. This beet can be stored for a long time. A portion contains about 200 seeds.
