Bulls Blood, organic seeds
Beta vulgaris var. conditiva
Is grown for its dark-red-violet, mild leaves and fully coloured roots. Young leaves are used in salads quite a lot and in mixtures of small leaves. The root can get a bit stodgy if allowed to grow for too long. Sow a little later for storage. This plant is from the early 1800's. A portion contains about 200 seeds.
