Brassica oleracea var. capitata rubra
Is a medium-early, very well-shaped and dense red cabbage weighing about 2 kg (4 lbs.). They are completely round with short marrow, unusually sweet and a deep red-violet colour. Cabeza is a variant of Red Drumhead which has been a reliable red cabbage since 1865. It keeps well in the plot and if harvested late, the heads can be stored through the whole winter. A portion contains about 100 seeds.
