Lactuca sativa var. crispa
Is slow to bloom, one of the slowest among the red perpetual lettuces. The glossy, deeply wine-red leaves are crumpled, a little frayed and have a clear green ground colour shining forth from under the red one. R.S. creates a vigorous, loosely knit, very beautiful head and is an excellent lettuce which never turns bitter. R.C. is often used as baby-leaf. A portion contains about 300 seeds. MOFGA-certified seed. See under Info etc. - Ecologically grown seeds.
