History

Grown for its beautiful velvety red flowers and small, delicious pods. Asparagus Pea should not be sown until the soil has become a bit warmer. But after that, it gives harvest all summer and well into the autumn. It will try your patience to harvest the little pods. Quite a lot is needed to get enough for a dish. Asparagus pea is a mild delicacy, lightly steamed with butter and salt.
