Lactuca sativa var. capitata crispum
After years of trial cultivation, we can no longer keep "Concept" for ourselves; several test growers have expressed their admiration! It is a combination of Cos lettuce and Batavia lettuce. The head is built high and vase-shaped as with the Cos lettuces, but with more of a head formation as with Batavia lettuce. The colour is medium green in the thick, crunchy succulent outer leaves which encloses a brighter, delicate heart. Concept is also grown more closely for "small leaf" production. A portion contains about 250 seeds. MOFGA-certified seed. See under Info etc. - Ecologically grown seeds.
