Matthiola incana
is cruciferous and annual originally from the Mediterranean area. This is a magnificent plant with much larger flowers than its Greek relative. The blooms are set in a dense spadix on the branchy plant with wonderful scent. It has different colours from white and pink to many shades of violet, 60 cm tall.

SOWING: Sow indoors in April 1 cm deep and set out in light soil in the sun, 25 cm between the plants.
