Cone Flower

    Rudbeckia hirta
is a composite annual originally from USA and Mexico with golden-yellow - rust-red flowers which are one- and bi-coloured with dark high-arched anthers. This is a good, easy to grow cutting- and border and bed flower which remains in bloom for a long time. It prefers heavier soils in the sun or half shadow. It can handle some frost in both spring and autumn.

SOWING: Sow indoors in March ½ cm deep or directly in the ground in May, 25-30 cm between the plants.
