Decorative Corn

    Zea mays japonica
belongs to the Grass family. The sort Red Berry is also called Wild Strawberry corn from Japan with small, shiny, dark-wine-red, very decorative cobs. This plant grows 160-180 cm tall and yields several cobs. The whole plant leaves and fruits, can be dried and yields decorations which will keep for years.

SOWING: To get a reliable, ripe crop in this country it should be pre-cultivated for 4-6 weeks and set out after the risk of frost is over in a sunny and warm place with good supplies of nutrients and water.
