Sweet Scabious

    Scabiosa atropurpurea
is an annual of the Scabious family originally from Southern Europe and the Caucasus. This is a branchy plant with large balls of flowers in pink-violet, white, light-red and dark ruby-red on long sturdy stalks. It blooms from July through September, excellent cutting flower, magnificent and easy to grow, 80-90 cm.
Sow indoors in March-April, for early blooming, and set out when the risk of frost is over or directly, in the ground, in May, 25 cm between the plants. 75 seeds/g one portion yields about 25 seedlings. Ecoseeds.
