    Lychnis chalcedonica
of the Carnation family is perennial and also called "˜Burning Love"™ due to its bright red, large, dense flower clusters. It is an old much appreciated bed- and border plant from Eastern Russia which blooms patiently all through summer.
The soil should be rich in nutrients and humus, well drained and the place sunny. Maltese Cross gets 80-90 cm tall.

SOWING: Sow shallowly in a hotbed in April or directly in bed or border in May.
