Sweet Rocket

    Hesperis matronalis
is cruciferous and bi-annual, sometimes perennial originally from Southern Europe and Western Asia. It has large inflorescences which are covered with quite small violet flowers, very fragrant in the evening. S.R. is easy to grow and thrives in sunny, sheltered places in most soils, 80-120 cm tall.

SOWING: Sow directly in beds and borders or in hotbeds in May-June. Keep 20 cm between the plants. Self-sows easily.
