Helichrysum
Helichrysum bracteatum (bracteantha bracteata)is a composite annual originally from Australia where it grows as a perennial. It has paper-like flowers of yellow, bronze, orange and red. They are cut before they are fully open and dried hanging in a cool, dry place. H. is also used fully open as a cutting flower. They thrive in a permeable soil rich in humus in full sunlight. H. is affected by frost. 80 cm tall.
SOWING: Sow directly in beds or borders in May 1cm deep or indoors in April for a longer and more reliable blooming, Keep 30 cm between the plants.
