Lark Spur Delphinium cultorum hybridum
of the Ranunculaceae-family is perennial and improved in California with tall vigorously growing stalks which are covered with large double or half-double flowers. It prefers soils rich in humus and nutrients and even dampness, full sun-light or half-shadow, heat-loving. Delphiniums may need supports in windy places. Keep a distance of 25 cm between the plants which grow 160 cm tall.
SOWING: Sow about 1 cm deep indoors or in hotbeds in February-March for setting out in summer! When sown early in February-March it may bloom already during the first year.
