CULTIVATION OF KALE SEEDS
Kale often copes with winter in the plot. Save at least 5 fine plants, typical of the sort. If there is a risk that animals could eat the plants or frosts and humidity destroy them, it is better to dig them up in late autumn, remove almost all the leaves and store them heeled in, in a greenhouse or cellar. Summer-sown kale copes with winter in the plot a lot better than large spring-sown ones. Read more about seed cultivation under "Growing cabbage plants" and under Brussels sprouts.
