CULTIVATION OF ROOT PARSLEY SEEDS
Grow seeds of root parsley in the same way as carrot seeds. The root parsley and the leaf parsley belong to the same species and cross-fertilize with each other. You need a distance of at least 500 m, but preferably 1000 m, between your plot and the nearest blooming parsley of a different variety, in order to keep the seed pure.

Select fine un-branched roots during harvest and store them until spring. Set out early in spring or replant directly after harvest with 40 cm between the plants. Cover well with hay or straw. You need at least 15-20 roots to keep the genetic variation of this sort.

Parsley seeds lose their fertility quite fast, but well-developed seeds will keep acceptably fertile for 3 years.
