As a customer at Runåbergs Fröer, you’re accepting that we’re handling your personal data, and we want you to feel safe in letting us do so. In this text you can read further on why we need the data, how long we store it and what rights you have as a customer. 

Personal data is any information that directly, or indirectly together with other information, can be linked to a living person. We are processing all personal data according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which as of May 25th, 2018, replaced the former national law for personal data. This new regulation puts higher demands on actors handling personal data, to enable you as a customer to have better insight and control in how and for how long your personal data is stored.

What data is stored and why do we keep it?

To place and order at our website you will need to fill in your full name, address, phone number, e-mail address, delivery- and payment information, and organization number (only for organizations and businesses). Svea Bank is running our payment platform and we will also share this information with them.

If you choose invoice as a payment method, we will also need your Swedish personal number to control your creditworthiness to process the order. This information is not needed when choosing our other payment options.

We need this data to manage your order in the best way possible, and to make sure your seeds make its way to the correct address. We also need the data for our own administration and accounting.

Your e-mail address will be stored with us as this is our main way of communicating with you as a customer. We will also use your e-mail address to keep you updated with our digital newsletters if you’ve ticked the box to receive these when placing your order or registered on our website. If you’ve ordered from us the previous season, we will keep your postal address to send news and updates in our variety list as the next season approaches. You are always welcome to contact us if you wish to unsubscribe from these letters and updates.

How long do we store your personal data?

We will store your personal data as long as we find necessary for the purpose. This might, as an example, mean that if you’ve registered to receive digital newsletters and updates, we keep your e-mail address until further notice. We will also keep e-mails from you that might contain personal data if there’s an ongoing correspondence between us.

We never keep other personal data older than 2 years in any lists or registers.

According to the national Accounting Act, we will keep transaction data for 7 years. When placing an order on our website we can assure you that all transactions of personal data is encrypted. All local computers and digital systems within our organization are further protected by password and are continuously up to date with current safety standards.

If something would threaten the protection of your personal data, we will immediately inform you of this.


With whom do we share your personal data?

Our payment platform is run by Svea bank, and when placing an order on our website you agree to us sharing your personal data with them. This is because they need the data to handle the transaction. To read more about how Svea Bank is processing your personal data – follow this link.

Except for Svea bank and freight services we do not share your personal data with any external party or organization.

Your rights

You have, at any time, the right to know what information we store about you. You also have the right to request that your personal data is deleted, given that your order is completed (that is, your goods have been delivered and the payment has reached us). For accounting purposes, we must keep any transaction information internally.
