CULTIVATION OF BROCCOLI SEEDS
Broccoli begins blooming easily if not harvested on time. But it takes quite a long time before the seeds are ripe and because of this, broccoli is grown for seeds both as annual and biannual. A spring sowing must happen very early, preferably Jan.- Feb. in hotbeds or greenhouses for setting out in spring when the worst frosts are over. Set the plants out with 50 cm between them and thin out before blooming. Save healthy, late flowerers, typical of the sort, with tight heads.
